Our founding
Saint Louis Jagannath Cultural and Educational Center primarily focuses on promoting and preserving the cultural traditions, religious practices, and spiritual teachings associated with Lord Jagannath, a Hindu deity particularly revered in the Odisha region of India; this often includes activities like teaching about the Jagannath mythology, organizing cultural events like the Rath Yatra festival, and providing educational programs about Odia culture and philosophy.
Our Objective
Jagannath, a non-sectarian deity revered across many faiths, represents an inclusive culture followed by billions of people worldwide1. The center focuses on spreading awareness of this rich cultural heritage through various festivities, arts, crafts, painting, dance, and music. It also supports philanthropy and charitable activities, such as food and clothes drives, and provides educational programs for both kids and adults
